Cover Supervisor - Daventry
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity

Tradewind Recruitment is working with several secondary schools in the Daventry area that are looking to appoint dedicated Cover Supervisors from September 2025. These are full-time, long-term roles, ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are keen to play a key part in school life.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be stepping into lessons across a range of subjects, delivering pre-set work and ensuring students stay focused and on track. This is a great opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people who's looking to build a career in education.

What the role involves:

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the usual teacher

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions

  • Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students engaged

  • Supporting students with their work and answering questions where needed

  • Reporting back on attendance, engagement, and any issues that arise

You'll be a great fit if you:

  • Have experience working with young people - in schools, youth groups, sports coaching, or similar

  • Are confident managing groups of teenagers in a classroom setting

  • Stay calm under pressure and can think on your feet

  • Have strong communication skills and a professional, reliable attitude

  • Are looking to gain experience in secondary education - perhaps as a step towards teacher training
