SEN Teaching Assistant - Daventry

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of secondary schools in Daventry who are looking to recruit committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their support teams from September 2025. These are full-time, long-term positions that offer a brilliant opportunity to work closely with students who need extra guidance to thrive.
The Role:
As an SEN TA, you'll be working with students who may have a range of additional needs-such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or emotional and behavioural challenges.
Your day-to-day role will involve:
Providing one-to-one support or small group intervention inside and outside of the classroom
Helping students stay engaged, on task, and confident in their learning
Working with teaching staff and SENCOs to adapt lessons and materials to suit individual needs
Supporting students in managing behaviour and building social and emotional skills
Being a consistent, encouraging presence for young people who need extra patience and understanding
What We're Looking For:
You don't need to be a qualified teacher-but we are looking for people who:
Have some experience working with children or young people with additional needs (in education, care, youth work, or similar)
Can stay calm and positive, even when things don't go to plan
Are good communicators and team players
Are reliable, flexible, and genuinely want to help young people succeed
(Bonus) Have relevant training or qualifications such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Team Teach
