Theatre Technician
Location: Northampton
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time
Are you passionate about the technical side of theatre? Do you thrive behind the scenes and enjoy bringing performances to life through lighting, sound, and stagecraft?
We are currently recruiting Theatre Technicians to work in a range of secondary schools in Northampton. These roles are ideal for individuals with experience or training in theatre production who are looking to work in dynamic educational environments and support young people's creative development.
About the Roles:
Supporting school productions, performances, rehearsals, and events
Operating and maintaining lighting, sound, and AV equipment
Assisting with set design, construction, and stage management
Ensuring the safe setup and breakdown of technical equipment
Working closely with Drama and Music departments to deliver high-quality shows
Helping to train and support students involved in tech crews and backstage roles
We're Looking For:
Individuals with experience or qualifications in theatre production, technical theatre, or live events
Confidence in using lighting desks, sound systems, microphones, and related equipment
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings for shows
(Bonus) Experience working with young people or in educational settings is desirable but not essential
