Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Kettering

Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Long-Term Role

Tradewind Recruitment is working with secondary schools in Kettering looking for dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their teams from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to take on real responsibility and contribute to student progress and wellbeing.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Delivering planned lessons and interventions across a range of year groups

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs through targeted academic and pastoral interventions

  • Leading small group work and occasionally covering full classes

  • Assisting teachers with planning, preparation, and classroom support

  • Helping track progress and adapt learning to meet individual needs

  • Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals

Who We're Looking For:

  • Someone with experience supporting in the classroom, ideally with HLTA status or similar qualifications

  • A confident and flexible individual comfortable delivering lessons and managing behaviour

  • A proactive communicator who can work well with staff and build strong pupil relationships

  • Someone organised, enthusiastic, and committed to inclusion and achievement for all pupils

  • A professional with up-to-date safeguarding knowledge and a passion for education
