About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking four dedicated and compassionate Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants to join a nurturing primary school in Bolton. These full-time positions involve providing tailored 1:1 support to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), focusing on Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Key Responsibilities

  • Individual Support: Work closely with children with diverse needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, SEMH, and EAL.
  • Curriculum Assistance: Support the delivery of a differentiated EYFS curriculum, adapting activities to meet individual learning requirements.
  • Intervention Delivery: Implement targeted interventions, both 1:1 and in small groups, to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Inclusive Environment: Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside class teachers and the SENCO to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and liaise with families and external agencies when needed.

Essential Criteria

  • Qualification: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months year working with EYFS children, particularly those with SEN and/or EAL needs.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of inclusive practices, differentiated learning strategies, and effective communication.
  • Attributes: Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting children's progress.
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
  • Eligibility: Legal right to work in the UK.
