Deliver engaging, practical lessons that promote healthy eating, nutrition awareness, and basic cooking skills.
Adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of learners, ensuring lessons are accessible, creative, and hands-on.
Use food tech as a tool to develop students' independence, confidence, and teamwork skills.
Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and external agencies to support each student's personal and academic development.
Ensure a safe, well-managed classroom environment, particularly in relation to health & safety procedures within a food technology room.
What we are looking for:
QTS or QTLS (applications from unqualified teachers with relevant experience will be considered).
Experience teaching Food Technology, ideally within a PRU, SEN, or alternative provision.
A strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies.
Creativity, resilience, and the ability to inspire disengaged learners.
What the school offers:
A supportive, collaborative team committed to transforming outcomes for young people.
