How Your Skills Transfer

Crisis Intervention → Supporting students during behavioural episodes
Family Systems Knowledge → Understanding how home life impacts learning
Assessment Skills → Identifying needs behind challenging behaviours
Advocacy Training → Ensuring every child's voice is heard
Multi-agency Experience → Working with teachers, therapists, and support services

What You'll Do

  • Support children with behavioural difficulties using trauma-informed approaches
  • Work with vulnerable students including looked-after children and those with social services involvement
  • Build therapeutic relationships with students who've experienced adversity
  • Engage families and connect them with community resources
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop support plans
  • Apply de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour strategies

  • Recent Social Work degree (within 3 years)
  • Passionate about vulnerable children and young people
  • Want to use your skills in an educational setting

  • Understand the link between social factors and educational outcomes
