Student Services Assistant - First Aid & Wellbeing
Location: Kettering
Start Date: ASAP
Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Salary: £100-£130 per day (depending on experience & qualifications)

Are you passionate about student wellbeing and supporting young people in a school environment? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school in Kettering that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Services Assistant to support their first aid and wellbeing provision.

This is an ideal role for someone with a background in healthcare, youth work, or pastoral support who is confident in delivering first aid and providing emotional support to students throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for students requiring medical attention or emotional support

  • Administering first aid and managing medical records in line with school policy

  • Supporting students with their wellbeing, signposting further support where needed

  • Liaising with parents/carers, school staff, and external agencies when necessary

  • Helping maintain a calm and supportive student services environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training)

  • Experience working with young people in a school, health, or pastoral care setting

  • A calm, caring, and empathetic nature

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
