Assistant Head of PE - Full-Time - Kettering - October 2025 Start
Are you an experienced and enthusiastic PE teacher ready to take the next step in your career? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Kettering, seeking an Assistant Head of PE to join their team from October 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator with a passion for sport and leadership to support the strategic development of the PE department, while continuing to inspire students across KS3 and KS4.
The Role:
Full-time Assistant Head of PE position
Supporting the Head of Department with curriculum development, planning, and staff mentoring
Teaching PE across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular sports
Playing a key role in driving high standards of teaching and learning within the department
Assisting with organising fixtures, events, and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching PE at secondary level
Have some leadership or departmental responsibility experience (e.g., TLR holder, key stage coordinator)
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to inclusive, engaging teaching
Be a positive role model with strong interpersonal and organisational skills
Be ready to support and inspire both students and colleagues
