Immediate Start: Qualified Early Years, KS1 and KS2 Teaching Assistants Needed!

Are you a qualified and enthusiastic Early Years, KS1, or KS2 Teaching Assistant? We have immediate openings for you! Due to high demand, we are seeking dedicated professionals for Nursery, Pre-school, Reception, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 roles across the Fylde coast.

We're looking for a dedicated individual to provide tailored support to our pupils. You will be committed to making a positive difference to young people's lives and in supporting and developing their learning.

These are temporary positions offering both short and long-term cover, with working hours typically between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, during term-time.

Locations: Schools currently seeking support are located in the Blackpool, Thornton Cleveleys, and Fleetwood. All schools are accessible via public transport (bus/tram) and offer on-site parking.

Pay:

  • £13.68 - £15.68 per hour

  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break

  • Long-term roles are paid to scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson.

  • Preparing the classroom for lessons, such as setting up equipment.

  • Managing behaviour and engaging students with their own learning.

  • Working with students either one-to-one or in small groups out of the classroom.

  • Developing and implementing engaging educational programs for pupils.

  • Fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all pupils.

  • Communicating effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

  • Observing and assessing pupils' progress, providing feedback to enhance their learning.

  • Maintaining accurate records of pupils' development and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Driving initiatives that promote social skills, emotional development, and physical well-being.

Essential Criteria:

You must hold a recognised qualification. Accepted examples include:

  • Early Years Practitioner or Nursery qualifications.

  • TA Qualification with a relevant specialism.

  • BA Hons Degree in Teaching and Learning or HLTA.
