Now Hiring: School Swimming Teacher with LSA Duties - Northampton

Are you a qualified swimming instructor with a passion for education and child development? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with fantastic schools in Northampton seeking a Swimming Teacher who is also happy to support pupils in class as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) when not in the pool.
This is a unique, rewarding dual role perfect for someone who enjoys variety and making a difference in both physical education and classroom settings.
Swimming Teacher Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, safe, and structured swimming lessons to pupils of varying ages and abilities
Encourage water confidence and teach essential water safety skills
Work closely with PE staff and lifeguards to maintain a positive learning environment
Track and report on pupil progress in swimming
LSA Responsibilities (When Not Teaching Swimming):
Provide classroom support to pupils with additional learning needs
Assist the class teacher with activities, resources, and learning interventions
Support individual and small group learning
Help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
What We're Looking For:
ASA/Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teaching qualification (or equivalent)
Experience teaching swimming to children (school or club setting)
Comfortable working in a classroom environment as an LSA
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Relevant safeguarding training (Tradewind can provide this if needed)
