The Role:

You'll be responsible for teaching German at KS3 and KS4, with potential to teach KS5 depending on experience. You'll bring the language and culture to life through engaging lessons, interactive resources, and a real enthusiasm for modern foreign languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality German lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Support students across a range of abilities, ensuring strong progress in language acquisition

  • Prepare students for GCSE exams, with a focus on both written and spoken language skills

  • Collaborate with MFL colleagues to share best practices and maintain a dynamic curriculum

  • Foster a learning environment that celebrates languages, cultures, and global awareness

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

  • Has recent experience teaching German in a UK secondary school setting

  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for language learning

  • Brings creativity, adaptability, and clarity to their teaching approach

  • Is committed to high standards, student progress, and professional development
