Music Teacher - Northampton
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Tradewind is currently working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Northampton, looking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Music Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting in October 2025. For the right candidate, there is a strong opportunity for the role to become permanent.

The Role:

  • Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience

  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons that combine music theory, performance, and appreciation

  • Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum, supporting progress for all learners

  • Contribute to the school's extra-curricular music provision - choirs, bands, ensembles, or school productions

  • Foster a classroom culture that nurtures creativity, collaboration, and confidence

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified Music Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)

  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of musical styles and instruments

  • A confident and adaptable teacher who can inspire students of varying abilities

  • Someone who values inclusive practice and champions the role of the arts in education

  • An enthusiastic team player willing to engage in wider school life and musical events

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply. Full induction support will be provided.
