Are you passionate about languages and looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a secondary school setting? We are seeking a dedicated MFL Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Sheffield, easily accessible by public transport.
About the role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning by delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on Modern Foreign Languages. You won't be responsible for planning or marking - your focus will be on engaging students, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and ensuring learning continues smoothly in the absence of the class teacher.
Key responsibilities:
Delivering pre-set lessons in Spanish or French, and occasionally other subject areas.
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Supporting students to stay on task and engaged in their learning.
Building positive relationships with young people to help them achieve their best.
About you:
Experience working with young people, ideally within a school environment.
Fluent in at least one additional language, ideally Spanish or French.
Confident, adaptable, and able to manage classroom situations effectively.
Reliable, enthusiastic, and keen to develop your skills in education.
