Part-Time Year 5 Teacher (Maternity Cover - 4 Days/Week)
Location: Brinnington, Stockport
Contract: Maternity Cover (Part-Time, 4 Days per Week)
Salary: MPS 1-6
Start Date: December

On behalf of our client school, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 teacher to join a committed and supportive team to cover a part-time maternity cover role (4 days per week).

You'll be joining a well-facilitated school, supported by a strong leadership team, enthusiastic staff, and experienced teaching assistants in every class. We also benefit from a well-established resource base, ensuring that all pupils, whatever their needs, can access learning and succeed.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Strong Key Stage 2 curriculum knowledge
• A nurturing and engaging classroom approach, with well-structured lessons that spark curiosity and support progress
• Effective behaviour management strategies rooted in positivity and consistency
• Experience in Year 5 is highly desirable
• Strong skills in assessment and effective questioning, using them to inform planning and adapt teaching
• Experience supporting pupils on the SEND register
• A proven ability to develop and deploy classroom support staff effectively
• A passion to make a real impact to the lives and learning for pupils and a willingness to commit to all areas of school life
