⏰ Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm (term time only)
💷 Pay: £90 - £100 per day (PAYE)
📄 Contract: Long-term

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Islington? A welcoming, one-form entry primary school is seeking a caring and enthusiastic TA to join their supportive team from September 2025.

This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism (ASD) and additional learning needs, while working in a nurturing and inclusive school community.

The Role - SEND Teaching Assistant

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils in Reception and Year 1 with Autism (ASD)

  • Deliver targeted interventions and assist with classroom learning activities

  • Support with emotional regulation, positive behaviour strategies, and wellbeing

  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver individualised learning plans

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child can thrive

About You

The ideal SEND TA will:

  • Have proven experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly Autism (ASD)

  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient in meeting pupils' needs

  • Confidently promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a committed school team
