Haringey | Graduate Teaching Assistant

A lively and inclusive secondary school in Haringey is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive staff team. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for recent graduates considering a career in teaching or education, offering valuable classroom experience and professional development opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons.

  • Assist individual students or small groups to help them achieve their learning goals.

  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure they can fully access the curriculum.

  • Provide general classroom support to maintain a positive learning environment and improve pupil engagement.

  • Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

  • Assist with classroom organization and resources, contributing to smooth daily operations.

We're Looking For:

  • Recent graduate (any subject considered).

  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and confident working with teenagers.

  • Previous experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and encourage students.

  • Aspiring teachers or education professionals looking to gain hands-on classroom experience are highly encouraged to apply.
