About the Role:

Tradewind are recruiting on behalf of a Secondary school in Widnes for a full-time School Receptionist to be the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This is a key administrative role within the school office, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the school's front desk and handling all telephone and face-to-face enquiries

  • Welcoming visitors, maintaining sign-in procedures and safeguarding protocols

  • Providing administrative support, including managing mail, filing, and data input

  • Assisting with attendance tracking and student records

  • Liaising with parents and external agencies as required

  • Supporting wider office tasks to ensure efficient school operations

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (preferably in a school setting)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

  • Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office, SIMS experience desirable)

  • A friendly, calm, and professional approach

  • A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
