Cover Supervisor - Wellingborough Area
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Full-Time | Flexible Daily Supply and Long-Term Opportunities
Pay: £90-£110 per day (depending on experience)

Are you confident, adaptable, and looking to gain valuable experience in secondary schools? Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a range of schools across the Wellingborough area.

We are especially keen to hear from candidates with their own transport, as flexibility to travel between local schools is essential for this role.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher to ensure learning continues. You'll be delivering pre-set work across a variety of subjects and year groups, managing classroom behaviour, and providing support where needed.

This is an ideal role for:

  • Graduates considering a career in teaching

  • Experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants looking for a new challenge

  • Individuals with experience working with young people in any capacity (sports coaching, youth work, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a focused learning environment

  • Providing support to students and answering general questions about the work

  • Reporting back to teaching staff with feedback on student progress and engagement

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people is highly desirable

  • Strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills

  • Reliable transport and willingness to travel to different schools in and around Wellingborough - a full UK driving licence is essential

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK
