Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Ashton, Tameside

Start Date: Nivember 2025
Key Stage: KS1 (Key Stage 1)

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support teachers and pupils in KS1. In this role, you will help children develop their skills, confidence, and love of learning. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils

  • Assisting with classroom preparation and resource management

  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to staff

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a nurturing learning environment

What We're Looking For

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Experience working with KS1 pupils

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine passion for education and child development

  • Adaptability, patience, and a positive attitude
