Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled, and compassionate Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join our dedicated supply team, supporting schools across the vibrant county of Lancashire!
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to students with a diverse range of needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 and 2:1 support to students, both within the classroom and in small group settings.
Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and supporting students with their targets.
Working with students who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Supporting students with specific needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other complex SEN.
Fostering an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment.
Liaising with class teachers, SENCOs, and parents/carers.
We Are Looking For
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in an SEN setting, is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of different SEN requirements and effective support strategies.
Experience in supporting students with Autism and ADHD is a significant advantage.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Patience, resilience, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or already hold a valid, transferable one).
