About the Role
We are recruiting enthusiastic and resilient Supply Teachers to cover classes across all key stages and subjects in secondary schools throughout Lancashire. This role offers flexible working-from daily cover to long-term assignments-allowing you to balance your professional and personal life.
We are specifically seeking teachers with an understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and experience in supporting students with complex requirements:
Delivering planned lessons and managing classroom behaviour effectively.
Understanding and implementing strategies outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Supporting the needs of students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Providing tailored support, including 1:1 and 2:1 ratios when required.
Experience working with students with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is highly valued.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching within a secondary school environment (Key Stages 3-5).
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments and lesson plans.
A genuine commitment to inclusive practice and supporting students with SEN.
Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or already hold a valid, transferable one registered with the Update Service).
