Salary: Main Scale Pay 3 - 6 / UPS1

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and creative two-form entry Primary School in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest, to recruit an enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team from January 2026.

This popular community school offers a balanced and engaging curriculum, a friendly supportive teaching team and well organised SLT, as well as children who generally achieve well.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 5 class and will be supported by a dedicated teaching assistant and a highly experienced leadership team. The school offers excellent professional development opportunities and is committed to helping teachers progress in their careers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering creative, high-quality lessons that motivate and challenge pupils
• Planning effectively in line with the school's curriculum and assessment policies
• Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child thrives
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas and best practice
• Maintaining strong communication with parents and carers

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Upper Key Stage 2
• A passion for delivering an inspiring and creative curriculum
• Strong behaviour management and excellent interpersonal skills
