General Cover Teacher

We are seeking a General Cover Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Tower Hamlets on a temporary contract from January to July. This role is perfect for a flexible, adaptable teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons across a variety of subjects as needed.

About the Role:

Start date: January - July

Salary: London MPS/UPS

Key responsibilities:

Provide cover for absent teachers across a range of subjects.

Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that maintain student progress.

Manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure a positive learning environment.

Adapt quickly to different classroom contexts and subject requirements.

Support the wider school community where needed.

Qualifications and Person Specification:
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable General Cover Teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Has experience teaching across multiple Key Stages and subjects.

Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Is flexible, reliable, and able to maintain student engagement in a variety of settings.

Can work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the school environment.
