Afternoon 1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN & Behavioural Support) - Wellingborough

Location: Wellingborough
Contract: Fixed-term, 2 years (Term-time only)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-4:30pm

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a caring and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with SEN and behavioural difficulties in an Alternative Provision setting based in Wellingborough.

This role offers consistent afternoon hours during the school week and is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people thrive both academically and emotionally.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a student with additional and behavioural needs.

  • Encourage engagement in learning and positive social interactions.

  • Follow behaviour management plans and work closely with teaching staff to support progress.

  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour.

  • Calm, patient, and adaptable attitude.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
