SEN Teaching Assistant - Wellingborough Area
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary and secondary school in the Wellingborough area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping every student achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with a range of special educational needs (including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties).
Support pupils both academically and emotionally, promoting independence and confidence.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans.
Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor and report on student progress and engagement.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (in school or a similar setting).
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
Be passionate about making a positive impact in children's education.
Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS check.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
