Nursery Teacher - Islington
Start Date: ASAP
Interviews: Week commencing 3rd November 2025
Pay: £206.75 - £237.64 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Until July 2026 (Full academic year)

SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be partnering with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Islington, supporting them in the recruitment of a Nursery Teacher to join their dedicated Early Years team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, creative, and passionate educator who is committed to providing children with an inspiring and nurturing foundation for lifelong learning.

The Role

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Create a warm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and independence.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and parents to ensure every child's progress and well-being are supported.

  • Use a variety of creative, hands-on teaching strategies to develop early literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional skills.

  • Monitor and assess children's development through accurate observations and ongoing assessment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - please note, ECTs will not be considered at this time.

  • Has proven experience teaching within Early Years (Nursery or Reception).

  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and effective early years pedagogy.

  • Is passionate about early childhood education, with the ability to inspire curiosity and creativity in young learners.

  • Possesses excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
