Learning Support Assistant - Northampton

We're proud to be working in partnership with inclusive and supportive secondary schools across Northampton who are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their teams as soon as possible or from January 2026. What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs

  • Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities and classroom organisation

  • Supporting students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional or behavioural challenges

  • Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence, and engagement in learning

  • Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion throughout the school day

  • Contributing to a safe, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Is passionate about helping young people, especially those with SEN

  • Has a patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach

  • Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with students and staff

  • Is reliable, flexible, and works well as part of a team

  • Has experience in education, care, youth work, or SEN support (beneficial but not essential)

  • Is eager to learn, grow, and develop within a school setting
