Behaviour Mentor - Lewisham

Location: Lewisham, South East London
Position: Behaviour Mentor (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Pay: £90-£120 per day (depending on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive school in Lewisham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to improving outcomes for students with behavioural or emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural or emotional challenges.

  • Support teaching staff in managing behaviour within the classroom.

  • Implement and monitor individual behaviour plans.

  • Encourage and guide students towards positive behaviour and personal growth.

  • Act as a role model and mentor, building trust and promoting confidence.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or additional learning needs (school or youth setting).

  • Strong communication, empathy, and de-escalation skills.

  • Calm, resilient, and proactive approach.

  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and staff.

  • Genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting inclusion.
