Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield, North London
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £95 - £125 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

Are you a compassionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism? Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming primary school in Enfield with a specialist Autism Resource Provision (ARP) for pupils in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6).

This well-resourced provision supports children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through a highly personalised, child-centred curriculum. Each lesson is designed to develop both academic learning and essential life skills, ensuring every pupil receives the education and support they deserve.

Your Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with ASD

  • Help pupils engage with tailored learning activities in both the ARP and mainstream classes

  • Encourage social interaction, communication, and independence

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver individualised support plans

  • Promote a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment

What We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting children with autism or additional learning needs

  • A patient, empathetic and flexible approach to learning

  • A genuine passion for helping pupils develop confidence and life skills

  • An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
