Attendance Officer - Secondary School - Greenwich

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Attendance Officer to join a welcoming secondary school in Greenwich. This is a full-time, long-term position starting immediately - an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting student engagement and ensuring excellent attendance across the school.

About the Role:

  • Monitor and record daily student attendance and punctuality using SIMS or Bromcom

  • Follow up on absences with parents and carers via phone, email, and meetings

  • Work closely with the pastoral and safeguarding teams to address attendance concerns

  • Produce accurate attendance reports and maintain confidential records

  • Support whole-school initiatives aimed at improving attendance and engagement

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school office or attendance role (essential)

  • Proficiency in SIMS, Bromcom, or similar school management systems

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A professional, approachable manner and attention to detail

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
