Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs
Location: Hillingdon, West London
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £95 - £125 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for compassionate and reliable SEND Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEND school in Hillingdon, supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs.

This highly supportive school provides a safe, structured and nurturing environment where pupils receive personalised learning, therapy support, and consistent routines that help them thrive. The role involves working closely with teachers and therapists to ensure every child can access learning, develop independence and feel valued.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with severe and complex learning needs across EYFS-KS4

  • Provide personal care including toileting, feeding and hygiene routines

  • Assist with physical support, mobility or use of hoists (training provided if needed)

  • Deliver engaging, sensory-based learning activities

  • Promote communication, social skills and emotional wellbeing

  • Maintain a consistent, calm and encouraging classroom approach

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting pupils with complex needs or medical needs

  • Confidence providing personal care

  • A patient, nurturing and resilient attitude

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
