A warm and inclusive Special School in Haringey is looking for a committed Communication Support Worker to join their team, supporting pupils across both primary and secondary phases.

Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality BSL communication support to ensure deaf pupils can fully access lessons, activities, and social interactions.
Support children 1:1 and in small groups, focusing on their academic progress, wellbeing, and emotional development.
Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to adapt classroom materials and communication methods.
Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and positive engagement in school life.
Help pupils develop strong communication skills and confidence in expressing themselves.
Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
A recognised BSL qualification (minimum Level 2; Level 3 or above is highly desirable).
Experience supporting children or young people with hearing impairments.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
A patient, empathetic, and inclusive approach.
