We are currently seeking committed Cover Supervisors to support several secondary schools in Daventry, with positions available to start immediately or from January. Role Summary

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher. Using pre-prepared lesson plans, you'll ensure students stay on task, remain engaged, and work in a calm and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and managing behaviour across KS3 and KS4 classrooms

  • Delivering pre-set lessons and supporting students to complete their work

  • Maintaining a positive, well-managed classroom atmosphere

  • Reporting progress, concerns, or incidents to senior staff

  • Supporting additional school duties such as break or corridor supervision

  • Providing a reliable and consistent presence within the school

About You

  • Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, coaching, mentoring, etc.)

  • Confident in behaviour management and setting clear expectations

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to motivate learners

  • Adaptable, dependable, and quick to adjust to school routines

  • Comfortable following instructions and delivering teacher-prepared lessons
