Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Secondary School, Tower Hamlets
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
Start Date: ASAP / By Arrangement
Our diverse and community-driven secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive inclusion team. About the Role
As an LSA, you will work under the guidance of teaching and SEN staff to support students with a range of additional needs. You will help create a positive, engaging learning environment and ensure all students can access the curriculum successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with additional learning needs
Assist the teacher in creating an inclusive and well-managed classroom
Adapt resources and scaffold learning to support student progress
Promote positive behaviour, engagement and independence
Build trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families
Support wider school activities and uphold the school's values

Has experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
Is patient, proactive and passionate about supporting learning
Has good communication and teamwork skills
Can build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
