Introduction

SANZA Teaching Agency (the sister company to Tradewind Recruitment) is partnering with a successful and welcoming Roman Catholic primary school in Northwest London. The school is seeking a dedicated HLTA or unqualified/early-career teacher to deliver high-quality PPA cover, small-group teaching, and targeted Year 5 support.


The Role

This role is ideal for an experienced HLTA, strong TA with additional responsibilities, or an aspiring/early-career teacher who enjoys leading learning.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering PPA cover across KS2, with a main focus on Year 5

  • Leading small-group sessions, including intervention groups and 1:1 pupil support

  • Supporting core subjects (English and Maths) to help raise attainment

  • Working collaboratively with class teachers to ensure continuity and high-quality learning

  • Contributing to assessments, pupil progress tracking, and next-step planning

  • Creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

  • Following the school's behaviour policy and safeguarding expectations

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a committed professional who can contribute confidently to teaching and learning.
You will need:

  • Experience working within KS2 (ideally Year 5)

  • HLTA status OR experience delivering learning as a TA/Unqualified Teacher

  • Confident behaviour management and a positive approach to classroom leadership

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills

  • Ability to plan and deliver structured small-group intervention

  • A proactive, reliable and team-focused attitude

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
