Position: Geography Teacher
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time
Salary: London MPS/UPS
Location: This Client is a mixed 11-18 academy in Islington

As Geography Teacher, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3-5.
- Teach GCSE Geography and A-Level (or equivalent) Geography.
- Inspire students with engaging delivery of physical and human geography, fieldwork, and case studies.
- Use assessment to track student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Prepare students for public examinations (GCSE, A-Level) ensuring they are ready for success.
- Contribute to the development of the geography curriculum, including fieldwork planning and enrichment.
- Support extra-curricular geography opportunities (e.g. field trips, geography club) to widen pupils' horizons.
- Work in collaboration with colleagues in the department and with senior leadership to drive student outcomes, both academically and personally.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Geography, Geographical Studies, or a closely related subject.
- Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level (or proven ability to teach these).
- A strong understanding of the UK Geography curriculum, exam specifications, and assessments.
- Evidence of effective classroom management, planning, and assessment.
- Experience of leading students through fieldwork or geography enrichment is desirable.
