Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term / Potential Permanent Placement
Salary: Competitive hourly/daily rates (dependent on experience)

We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors for a number of secondary schools in Brackley, with opportunities to start immediately. This is an excellent chance to work within supportive school settings, ensuring continuity of learning when teachers are absent.

Role Overview

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students stay on task with pre-planned lesson materials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and managing student behaviour across KS3 and KS4

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson content and ensuring students follow instructions

  • Supporting students with learning where needed while maintaining a positive classroom environment

  • Reporting concerns, progress, or notable incidents to teaching staff

  • Assisting with daily school duties such as break supervision or corridor monitoring

  • Being a dependable and consistent presence within the school community

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with young people, ideally within a school or educational setting

  • Confident in managing classroom behaviour calmly and respectfully

  • Able to follow lesson plans and communicate instructions clearly

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic nature of school life
