Primary Teacher - Year 2
Location: Inner South East London (Southwark)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full time, to July 2026 (potential to go permanent from September 2026)
Pay: Paid to scale - M3-M6 (daily rate equivalent £226.85-£268.21)

We are seeking a confident and committed Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming school community from January 2026, continuing through to the end of the academic year. For the right candidate, there is a strong possibility of a permanent contract from September 2026.
About the Role
Full class teaching responsibilities in a Year 2 class
Planning, teaching and assessment in line with the national curriculum
Working closely with phase colleagues and senior leaders
Contributing to the wider school community and attending relevant meetings
Delivering high-quality teaching and maintaining excellent classroom practice
Full responsibilities included - therefore paid to scale

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Ideally completed induction and working at M3-M6
Strong teaching practice with evidence of good to outstanding classroom delivery
Positive, proactive and committed to raising standards
Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Pay to Scale
Main Pay Scale M3-M6
Daily rate: £226.85 - £268.21 (paid to scale based on experience)
