Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Runcorn from January.

About the role:
This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience with children but hasn't worked in a formal school setting before. You'll support the class teacher, help pupils stay focused, and play a key role in creating a positive learning environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils in class and during group activities

  • Helping children stay engaged and on task

  • Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and preparation

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and routines

  • Providing extra support to pupils who may need it

  • Building relationships with children across the class

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience with children in any setting (youth work, sports coaching, childcare, mentoring, etc.)

  • Friendly, patient, and confident

  • Keen to learn and develop classroom skills

  • Able to work full-time from January
