KS4 Maths/Science Learning Support Assistant - Hillingdon

What You'll Be Doing

  • Bringing learning to life for KS4 students in Maths and Science, helping them crack tricky concepts and grow in confidence.

  • Working 1:1 and with small groups to boost GCSE progress and close learning gaps.

  • Supporting teachers in lively, fast-paced lessons-keeping students engaged, motivated, and on track.

  • Delivering targeted interventions, revision support, and tailored learning activities.

  • Spotting progress, celebrating wins, and feeding back valuable insights to shape teaching.

  • Helping create a positive, supportive, and energised learning environment.

  • Assisting with practical science tasks and general classroom routines.

  • Encouraging resilience, ambition, and independence in every student you support.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of Maths and/or Science (A-level or degree highly desirable).

  • Someone confident, enthusiastic, and able to explain concepts clearly.

  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, supportive attitude.

  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

  • Experience with young people is a bonus-but not essential!

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
