A welcoming secondary school in Hackney is looking for an enthusiastic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants hands-on experience supporting students with additional needs.
You'll work 1:1 with a learner who has an EHCP, helping them stay engaged, develop confidence and access learning throughout the school day. Whether you're hoping to pursue psychology, education, or therapy in the future, this role offers a brilliant foundation.
Your role will involve:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 SEN support
- Helping with emotional regulation and communication
- Working with the SENCO to implement individualised strategies
- Capturing progress to support reviews and interventions
- Developing your understanding of SEN approaches and tools
You'll bring:
- A degree and a genuine interest in SEN
- Patience, empathy and strong communication
- A willingness to learn and contribute to the wider team
- An interest in progressing to a related career
