Job Description
We are seeking a resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support for students, helping them overcome barriers to learning through one-to-one interventions, group activities, and behavior management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering engaging lessons adapted to SEMH needs.
- Support students with emotional regulation and social skills development.
- Monitor progress and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable).
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and patience.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
