Teaching Assistant

About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of primary and secondary schools in the Kettering area to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils and contributing to a positive learning environment.

You may be working 1:1 with pupils, supporting small groups, or assisting within the classroom under the direction of the class teacher. Roles are available across EYFS, KS1, KS2, and secondary settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with their learning and development in the classroom

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

  • Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning objectives

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

  • Support pupils with additional needs where required

  • Supervise pupils during breaktimes and school activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (desirable)

  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and wellbeing

  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (or willingness to undertake training)

Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant are advantageous but not essential.
