Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

Location: Hounslow
Pay: £90 - £100 per day
Contract: Full-time | January 2025 - April 2025 (extension likely)

About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a college in Hounslow to recruit a motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant for a full-time position. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people, particularly students who present with behavioural needs, and who wants to make a positive impact within a secondary education setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support to students, with a focus on behavioural needs.
  • Promote a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support teachers with behaviour management strategies in the classroom.
  • Assist with the academic, social, and emotional development of students.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting students with behavioural challenges.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a school team.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with secondary school-aged students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related subject.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Overseas police checks where applicable.
  • Two professional references.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.
