About the Role
As a Graduate Teacher on the programme, you will work in secondary schools supporting teaching and learning while developing the skills needed to succeed in the classroom. Your role will include:
Supporting teachers during lessons across a range of subjects
Working with small groups or individuals to reinforce learning
Delivering pre-planned activities under teacher guidance
Developing confidence in behaviour management and classroom presence
Gaining exposure to different departments before choosing a specialism

Full training before you start, covering safeguarding, behaviour management, and classroom strategies
Ongoing CPD and access to accredited training courses
In-school mentoring from experienced teachers and education professionals
A gradual increase in responsibility as your confidence and skills grow
Clear progression routes into formal teacher training, including Schools Direct and teaching apprenticeships
This programme is ideal for graduates exploring careers in teaching, education psychology, SEND, pastoral support, or youth work.
Who We're Looking For
Graduates with a degree in any subject (2:2 or above preferred)
A genuine interest in working with children and young people
Strong communication skills, resilience, and a positive attitude
A willingness to learn and develop in a school environment
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
