Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Middleton)
Daily Rate: £90 - £110 per day

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive Secondary School in Middleton that is seeking a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team with an immediate start.

This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people in a secondary school environment and making a positive impact on pupils' learning and wellbeing. Only applicants with prior experience working in schools or within the education sector will be considered.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with their learning across a range of subjects

  • Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives

  • Providing 1:1 support where required, including for SEN or additional needs pupils

  • Assisting with classroom behaviour management and engagement

  • Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role within a secondary school or education setting

  • Be confident supporting students across KS3 and KS4

  • Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Be patient, adaptable and enthusiastic about supporting young people

  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Please note: Candidates without school or education-based experience will not be shortlisted.
