1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - Full Time - Hyde, Tameside

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs in a welcoming Primary School in the Hyde area.

The Role:

  • Full-time, term-time position

  • Long-term opportunity

  • Working 1:1 with a pupil with SEND

  • Supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional development

  • Start ASAP

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND (autism, ADHD, or complex needs)

  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach

  • Confidence working on a 1:1 basis and adapting support strategies

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with teachers and SENCOs

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day

  • Supporting engagement in classroom activities

  • Helping to implement individual support plans and strategies

  • Creating a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment
