Contract: Full-time, fixed term until July 2026 (with potential extension into the following academic year)

The Role - Year 4 Class Teacher (Upper KS2)

The appointed teacher will have full class responsibility for a settled and motivated Year 4 class. The school is seeking a teacher who delivers high-quality teaching, maintains strong routines, and builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a Year 4 class within Upper Key Stage 2, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  • Maintain clear behaviour expectations and a calm, focused classroom culture

  • Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 4 teacher on planning, assessment, and moderation

  • Communicate effectively with parents and contribute positively to the wider school community

About You

  • Proven experience teaching Year 4 or Upper KS2 (preferred)

  • Strong classroom management skills and a consistent, positive approach to behaviour

  • Passionate about pupil progress, inclusion, and high expectations

  • A team player who values shared planning and professional collaboration

  • Confident ECTs with strong behaviour management skills are encouraged to apply
