Science Graduate - Graduate Teaching Programme

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time | Fixed-term (with pathway to QTS)
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a Science graduate looking to begin a career in teaching straight away? This is an excellent opportunity to join a Graduate Teaching Programme in secondary schools across Kettering, gaining paid, hands-on classroom experience while working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

The Role:

  • Support the delivery of Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 exposure possible)

  • Work alongside experienced teachers in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics

  • Provide targeted academic support to individuals and small groups

  • Gradually take on increased teaching responsibility as part of the training programme

  • Engage fully with mentoring, training, and professional development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds (or is on track to achieve) a degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related)

  • Aspires to train as a secondary Science teacher

  • Confident, enthusiastic, and committed to professional development

  • Strong communication skills and a positive approach to working with young people

  • Previous experience in schools, tutoring, or youth work is advantageous but not essential
